Overall objective of Job Function

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Sodexo is seeking a responsible Chef Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. This role combines culinary expertise with leadership to support team performance and client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

KITCHEN OPERATIONS & MEAL PREPARATION

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to menu and dietary guidelines
• Ensure food presentation meets company standards
• Monitor portion control and minimize waste

STAFF SUPERVISION & TRAINING

• Supervise kitchen staff and allocate daily tasks
• Provide training and guidance to ensure consistent quality and safety
• Foster a positive and productive work environment

STOCK & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock
• Maintain accurate records of usage and deliveries

COMPLIANCE & SAFETY

• Ensure adherence to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations
• Conduct regular checks and audits to maintain compliance
• Report and address any safety or hygiene concerns promptly

CLIENT SERVICE & COLLABORATION

• Work closely with site managers to meet client expectations
• Respond to feedback and implement improvements
• Support special events and catering functions as required

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proven culinary skills and experience in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP protocols
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in kitchen equipment and inventory systems
