Medipost Pharmacy is looking for a professional self-driven individual to join the GEMS (D01) department in Order Processing. The successful individual will be placed in Gezina (Pretoria).
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Providing proper patient care as per GPP (Good Pharmacy Practice) regulations. Attending training on pharmacy acts and GPP. Compliance with the POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) regulations. Accurate capturing of prescriptions, acute and/or chronic medication (as per SOP). Handling of clinical discussions (under pharmacist supervision) and/or enquiries with patients and health care professionals or other SPN’s. Resolve rejections and prioritize adding scripts to WIP. Attending to cluster and personal action diaries. Compliance to SLA requirements (completing mailbox profiles, rejections, and action diaries within required timelines). Attending to and responding professionally to email messages or enquiries received from management, other SPN’s, or patients. Attending to OUT OF WIP notifications. Attending to rejected prescriptions and templates from blind checking as a priority to ensure SLA compliance. Attending SOP training and SOP refresher training as well as product training or any other training presented. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOPs. Stock management – understanding the cold chain maintenance processes, expiry dates, stock returns procedures. Attending to INV and other cluster action diaries. Assisting with email enquiries relating to stock issues, financial enquiries, claim enquiries, or any other received. First call attempts must be made to patients before a profile may be forwarded to the ADMIN mailbox for ANT follow-up on allocation, calls to prescriber, etc.
Operational and Quality Performance:
Completion of daily allocated work according to level requirement. Attending to action diaries. SLA compliance. MML adherence. Competency in SOP assessments.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12. Min 2 years’ experience as a pharmacist assistant. Need to be registered at SAPC.
Training Required:
Training on company systems (e.g., Medipost APP, online authorization system and procedures, ESS, etc). Medipost Bridging course for internal Medipost appointment from another department.

Sound knowledge of GPP (Good Pharmacy Practice) and pharmacy acts.
Specific Requirements:
Expected output during probation period communicated by line manager, as per career path level. An understanding of the implications of making errors in a pharmacy or healthcare environment. Service failure interventions will be applicable if service failures are not maintained at an average of 0 - to 0.75 service failures per month, equating to a maximum of 3 service failures over a 4-month (quarterly) period.
