1. Technical and Strategic Expertise

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM (Google Ads), social media, email marketing, content marketing, display advertising, influencer marketing, and affiliate marketing.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo, etc.).
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and lead generation.

2. Data and Analytics Skills

  • Ability to use analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite, etc.) to measure performance.
  • Strong skills in tracking ROI, KPIs, and campaign performance.
  • Experience with A/B testing, data-driven decision-making, and reporting.

3. Content & Creative Skills

  • Understanding of content strategy: blog writing, copywriting, video, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work with designers, photographers, and video editors to create engaging multimedia content.
  • Knowledge of brand positioning and tone of voice across platforms.

4. Social Media & Community Management

  • Hands-on experience managing paid and organic campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube).
  • Experience with audience engagement and reputation management.
  • Familiarity with emerging platforms and trends.

5. Advertising & Paid Media Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and programmatic advertising.
  • Ability to manage budgets, bidding strategies, and campaign optimization.
  • Competence in retargeting and remarketing strategies.

6. Project & People Skills

  • Excellent project management abilities—ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (to report to stakeholders).
  • Experience collaborating with sales, PR, events, and product teams.

7. Industry Knowledge

  • Awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
  • Understanding of local and global digital marketing landscapes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing algorithms, tools, and consumer behaviors.

Bonus Requirements (if applicable):

  • Certification in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Experience in your specific industry (e.g., events, FMCG, finance, retail, etc.).
  • Proven track record with case studies or portfolio of past work.
  • ABILITY TO CREATE PROFESSIONAL CONTENT, PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS, ARTWORK AT SHORT NOTICE.
  • GOOF UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO UTILISE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MARKETING MATERIAL - A DEFINITE PLUS.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: R8 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
