We are seeking a qualified individual or translation company to provide professional translation services for a global research initiative. This is a short-term contract focused on the accurate and culturally appropriate translation of six (6) data collection tools into Sesotho for the South Africa portion of our project.
Scope of Work
The selected translator/firm will:
Translate six (6) research data collection tools (Microsoft Word format) from English into Sesotho. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of all translations. Maintain consistency in terminology across all tools. Deliver translations in an editable format (e.g., Microsoft Word). Participate in one review cycle for revisions/feedback from the project team. Deliver six (6) translated data collection tools in Sesotho. Provide final approved versions reflecting project team feedback.
Timeline
Final translations due: Within 7 days of contract signing.
Qualifications
Proven experience in professional translation (experience in health, social science, or research projects preferred). Ability to provide culturally appropriate and accurate translations. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
