The following competencies are essential in the candidate we seek:
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills
- Strong English Home Language verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with children, teachers, parents and visitors
- A strong understanding of curriculum requirements of the Intermediate Phase across multiple subject and grade areas and in particular English as a home language
- An innovative approach to teaching the 21st Century Child, including the use of IT in the classroom
- Self-motivated, energetic and reliable
- Work as part of a team with other staff and management
- A strong understanding of the diverse nature of the pupil’s within your care
- Capable of coaching a wide variety of sports and to be actively involved in the extra-curricular program of the school - experience and knowledge in coaching boys’ sport will be advantageous
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same/a similar type of position and environment
- Fully support the ethos and values of the school which includes respect, integrity, compassion and honesty.
- A teaching qualification with SACE registration or a recognised degree/diploma appropriate to the position.
