THE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Application Owner to join our IT team. This role takes IT to a whole new level, encouraging you to exceed business needs and work in a collaborative team who are just as passionate as you to provide exceptional experiences.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary objective of this role is to think and act in terms of the entire product lifecycle instead of the features that must be shipped with a specific technology-centric goal in mind, to ensure that MBFS SA has complete uptime of all applications within the landscape. The individual would support with controls & prioritizes all business requests, review and communicate with the key stakeholders, always ensuring ITIL Best Practices in the form of IT Operations, Application Support, Problem & Incident Management and adherence to the Mercedes-Benz AG Best Practice and Policies. The application owner is responsible to manage the developers, software engineers and data services pipeline in accordance to set objectives. The Application Owner is responsible to initiate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing. Security & Maintenance is a core function of the application owner ensuring remediation and mitigation as set out in the RISE standards and policy.
WHAT DO YOUR DUTIES ENTAIL?
STAKEHOLDER & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
- Controls & prioritizes all business requests
- Business Requirement Consultation on new features / demands
- Reviews and approves communications for key stakeholders
- Proactive engagement with business to identify opportunities
- Actively working with suppliers to ensure Scope of Work is concluded as expected
- Administration of Purchase orders and Invoices for suppliers
- Project Management
- Resource planning by managing developers and data services pipeline in accordance to set objectives
- SPOC and Active engagement of immediate fixes required

- EPA, QUALYS & CIVA & SPS scans – remediation & mitigation
