Mechanic – Free State ID-462

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our client’s dynamic team in Welkom, Free State. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to maintain, service, and repair yellow or earth-moving equipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of yellow or earth-moving machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently
  • Conduct component replacements and system overhauls as required
  • Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting
  • Accurately document service reports and job cards
  • Source and order parts and materials for repairs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NQF Level 6 Trade-Tested Mechanical Qualification or certified equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on yellow or earth-moving equipment
  • Must have mechanical skills & knowledge to fix on TLB’s, Graders, Dozers, Front End Loaders, Trucks and other heavy machineries
  • Must have administrative and planning experience
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Familiarity with technical manuals and wiring diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
