• Develop works instructions through own and subordinates’ input to standardize tasks spare requirements following the WCM guidelines.
• Attending to plant electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the safety regulations.
• Project work according to WCM requirements. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machine

The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering or a minimum of an N3 engineering qualification and must possess a Millwright Trade. This role requires someone who has at least five years’ relevant experience within manufacturing / plant environment.

The purpose of the role would be to effectively and efficiently install, maintain, upgrade and fabricate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in Germiston Plasters in line with the relevant WCM principles; Maintenance and upholding all applicable legislation. The candidate must be able to understand PLC I/Os to assist in fault finding as well as Siemens, Danfoss and ABB variable speed drive experience. This role will also ensure no repeat failures on equipment as the candidate will need to conduct proper root cause analysis on equipment failures.
