Business Unit & Section: Namakwa Sands- Engineering

Primary Location: Smelter Operations (Saldanha)

Position Summary

This position will provide support to the Smelter plant which will include the CO Generation plant and will be responsible for first line mechanical and electrical duties to improve plant reliability, increase equipment performance and minimise production downtime from unplanned equipment stoppages. From time to time, planned and unplanned maintenance work will be conducted as required in different department on-site. This position will require day and night shift work as well as overtime and standby work as required. As such, it is essential that the person filling this position must be able to function as an effective team member.
