Night Shift Logistics Controller

Job Description: Our client is currently seeking diligent and reliable Night Shift Controllers to join their operations team. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing night shift logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and timely delivery. While a certificate or diploma could be advantageous, we also welcome candidates with relevant experience and skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and oversee night shift logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
2. Monitor and track the movement of goods to ensure timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
3. Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate logistics activities.
4. Address any issues or delays that arise during the night shift and take appropriate corrective actions.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
6. Provide support and guidance to night shift staff, including supervisors and controllers.
7. Maintain accurate records of night shift activities and prepare reports as needed.
8. Collaborate with other departments to resolve logistical issues and optimize operations.
9. Assist in the training and development of new night shift staff members.
10. Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the operations manager.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (advantageous).
2. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role is preferred.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
7. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
8. Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes is a plus.
9. Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Package & Remuneration

1. R21 000.00 – R22 000.00 CTC per month – Depending on experience
