Job Description – Youth Program Support Lead
Location: New York City (Various School Sites)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $38,000 – $45,000 annually
Background Check: Required by the NYC Department of Education

Position Summary:
The Youth Program Support Lead plays a key role in the daily operations
and coordination of youth development initiatives within schools across
New York City. This individual serves as the on-site liaison between
school partners, students, families, and program staff to ensure the
smooth execution of academic and arts-based enrichment activities during
and after the school day.
The ideal candidate is passionate about education, youth empowerment,
and community engagement. They will help design and deliver a
high-quality experience that supports student growth, creativity, and
leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the daily operation of youth programs in school

settings.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for school staff, instructors,

students, and parents.

  • Organize and implement enrichment activities including arts,

leadership, academics, and social-emotional development sessions.

  • Maintain accurate program records such as attendance, student

information, and scheduling.

  • Provide on-site supervision and guidance to instructors and

volunteers.

  • Support recruitment and enrollment efforts by promoting programs to

students and families.

  • Address student needs and concerns with professionalism, patience, and

creativity.

  • Collaborate with school administrators and community stakeholders to

enhance program visibility and impact.

  • Uphold program standards and ensure all activities align with youth

development goals and school expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Education, Youth Development, or related

field preferred).

  • Minimum of 2 years working with youth in educational or

community-based settings.

  • Experience leading group activities or supervising teams is highly

valued.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to connect with students,

staff, and families.

  • Able to work independently while maintaining collaboration with

multiple school sites.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
