Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes creativity.
- Plan and conduct engaging art lessons that cater to various skill levels and learning styles.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and facilitate student engagement.
- Provide mentorship to students, encouraging their artistic development and self-expression.
- Support students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, through tailored instruction and behavior management strategies.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, portfolios, and informal evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred but not needed
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a early childhood education environment.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Experience in tutoring or providing individualized support to students is highly desirable but not needed
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is beneficial.
- Ability to proofread materials for clarity and accuracy; strong writing skills are essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
