About the position

Responsibilities

  • Installs poles, conductors, transformers, meters, and hardware on energized and de-energized lines according to specifications.
  • Reviews plans and specifications, understanding safety rules and company policies.
  • Operates bucket trucks, digger-derricks, and other equipment on job sites as required.
  • Informs supervisor of equipment and materials needed to complete jobs.
  • Assists foreman in executing work plans and training other crew members in electrical system construction.
  • Performs basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles used for assigned duties.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly job site.
  • Handles stress and works well with others effectively.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel to various locations throughout Arkansas and stay overnight as required.
  • Knowledge of REA plans and specifications for distribution and transmission and electric system key location maps.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at excessive heights.
  • Must have tools required to perform duties and perform routine maintenance on crew vehicles.
