This role is fully accountable for the line's performance in safety, product quality, efficiency, budget achievement, KPI attainment, and team engagement. Acting as the "line champion," this individual will set clear expectations, drive results, and ensure operational excellence across all shifts.<br><br>The Line Champion Supervisor will coach front-line leaders, actively engage hourly technicians, and champion plant-wide initiatives, including Continuous Improvement and High-Performance Organization (HPO) efforts. This position plays a pivotal role in building organizational capability, fostering employee morale, and executing strategies that align with departmental and site-wide goals. Through strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and relentless focus on improvement, the Line Champion Supervisor ensures that the production line operates at its highest potential every day.<br><br><strong>What You Will Do...<br><br></strong>Leadership & Direction<br><br><ul><li> Provide clear direction, set priorities, and align objectives for the production line across all shifts.</li><li> Lead and develop team members at all levels, including Team Leaders, Service Leaders, and operators, through coaching, mentoring, and training.</li><li> Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li><li> Promote positive employee relations while addressing the evolving needs of the business.<br><br></li></ul>Operational Oversight<br><br><ul><li> Direct and oversee all daily operations of the assigned production line, ensuring adherence to production schedules, performance goals, and budget targets.</li><li> Oversee changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.</li><li> Manage direct and indirect labor efficiently to meet operational demands.</li><li> Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and performance metrics.<br><br></li></ul>Safety & Compliance<br><br><ul><li> Drive a culture of safety by enforcing safety policies, ensuring proper PPE usage, and addressing hazards promptly.</li><li> Manage the safety system within the area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.</li><li> Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, GMPs, and operational standards.<br><br></li></ul>Quality & Continuous Improvement<br><br><ul><li> Monitor product quality throughout production, partnering with Quality Assurance to resolve issues quickly.</li><li> Lead the development and execution of key daily management systems such as DDS, CL, RCFA, and Operational Standards documentation.</li><li> Analyze production data, identify gaps versus KPIs (including safety, quality, and efficiency), and implement corrective actions.</li><li> Coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues and ensure preventive maintenance is completed.<br><br></li></ul>Planning & Communication<br><br><ul><li> Participate in daily management, budgeting, strategic planning, TDC initiatives, enabler planning, and capital forecasting processes.</li><li> Communicate business unit results, needs, and priorities to senior management.</li><li> Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Product Development, Reliability) and external partners as needed.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Scope & Complexity<br><br></strong><ul><li> Base Business Focus: Leading and coordinating activities with the team to achieve KPIs on Safety, Quality, Customer Service (schedule compliance and attainment), Reliability (OEE and changeovers), Cost (Yield, material management), and People (Talent development, coaching/feedback to correct and support behaviors).</li><li> Project/Breakthrough Focus: Participating in and/or leading elements in strategic planning for the broader operations department on the operational excellence platform, including equipment operational strategies, talent development, crewing, flexibility, and team structure.</li><li> SQCPDM: Managing the business unit across all three shifts, focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Delivery, and Morale.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Who You Will Work With...<br><br></strong><ul><li>Reporting into our Operations Manager<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Will Bring To The Table... (Nice to Have)<br><br></strong><ul><li> 3+ years of operations leadership experience (Operations Supervisor, Operations Team Lead, Sr Operations level role) within a manufacturing environment</li><li> Expertise in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.</li><li> Cross functional operations experience with a strong understanding of various plant functions</li><li> Food Manufacturing experience<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation And Benefits<br><br></strong>The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between<br><br>$66,000-$94,900<br><br>Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
