Expectation to be onsite as needed and will probably be limited to 1-2 times/month****<br><br>Non-local candidates must be willing and committed to work PST hours.<br><br><strong>Job Description: </strong> <strong>Responsibilities:<br><br></strong>The Senior Business Analyst acts as the business expert filling a liaison role between the IT development group and business units for development, enhancement, and implementation of new and/or existing systems. Additionally, this position provides data and reporting solutions to satisfy informational and performance metrics needs for one or more business functions.<br><br><ul><li>Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Specific responsibilities include:</li><li>Works with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate and prioritize the business needs/requirements</li><li>Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods</li><li>Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics</li><li>Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards</li><li>Participates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features/functions have been enabled and optimize</li><li>Participates in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to use</li><li>Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications</li><li>Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team</li><li>Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team</li><li>Develops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted</li><li>Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders</li><li>Manages, enforce and redefine (as necessary) the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle</li><li>Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood</li><li>Participates in the testing effort throughout the project lifecycle, including test script creation<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience</li><li>Demonstrated course work and/or training in programming languages used for the client's applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related job functions.</li><li>Experience in Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodology</li><li>Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development</li><li>Proven experience with business IT applications</li><li>Ability to lead and influence decision-making working with senior management at the client's site.</li><li>Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it</li><li>Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills</li><li>Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail</li><li>Highly self-motivated and directed</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure</li><li>Strong customer service orientation</li><li>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment</li><li>Experience with MS Visio, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Working knowledge of SQL<br><br></li></ul><strong>Desired:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration</li><li>Experience working with Electric Generation Interconnection program</li><li>Experience working with Electric Distribution/Transmission/Substation work and asset management processes</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver on significant technology solutions/business process improvements from concept to implementation</li></ul>
